Religion

At Holy Family School we strongly recognise that parents and families are the first educators in faith of our students. Our goal is to educate the whole child in an environment of love and acceptance based in the teachings of Jesus.

Education in Faith

All students participate in the Religious Education program which is integrated within all aspects of the child’s education. Our curriculum is based on the guidelines of the Archdiocese of Melbourne’s program “To Know, Worship and Love.” We follow the Liturgical Year and incorporate the Religious Education of our students across the whole curriculum, using our Education in Faith to underpin our daily living. Through reflection and prayer, students are helped to experience a deepened relationship with God, loving relationships with others, a greater love of the church, and empowerment to work to create a just world.

Our Sacramental Program is organised in unison with the parish. The sacramental programs are and supported across all levels. The children prepare for the receiving of the Sacraments at the following level:

Middle School - Eucharist and Reconciliation

Senior School - Confirmation

All Sacramental enquiries should be made at the Parish Office (Phone 9807 9494).

The whole school celebrates Mass for liturgical events in the Church Calendar and the life of the school.
